TransType 4 for Mac and Windows
TransType 4 arrived in December 2013 as a complete rewrite of our font conversion app. It added multi-color OpenType output and web font export to its core toolkit.
All FontLab products run on macOS 10.9 Mavericks
FontLab tested its current product line against macOS 10.9 Mavericks. Everything passed.
OpenType Layout feature classification
OpenType Layout features drive the correct display of complex scripts like Arabic and Indic, and they let users apply advanced typographic formatting. This is a classification of the registered feature tags, written for developers building UI to expose them.
On fractional coordinates
Round a number too early and the error never leaves. That is the whole case for working in fractional coordinates while you design, and rounding to a grid only when you ship.
